Summer 2026

Build What's Next

August 12-15, 2026

Roland Powell Convention Center, Ocean City, MD

As Maryland’s counties work to meet rising community needs and prepare for long-term growth, the imperative to strengthen infrastructure, deepen partnerships, and support vulnerable residents has never been clearer. Build What’s Next will examine the emerging challenges and opportunities shaping local governments and highlight forward-thinking strategies that position county governments – and their residents – for lasting success. Conference sessions will explore modern infrastructure investment, state-local collaboration, tech and AI influence on public services, and innovative tools that expand housing options, enhance public infrastructure and energy delivery, effectively fund education priorities, and ensure every community has access to essential resources and services.
