Overview

The Maryland County Budget and Finance Officers was established in 2012 as an affiliate of MACo. The objectives/responsibilities of the group are:

Foster and improve working relations with agencies, organizations, and individuals having a responsibility for budget and finance operations within county governments and Baltimore City;
Promote the establishment and development of effective budgeting principles;
Increase the professional knowledge and skills of budget and finance officers through mutual sharing of information;
Maintain liaison and representation with MACo, and other agencies and organizations;
Provide a professional information resource and provide support, including testimony where appropriate, for MACo legislative efforts; and
Coordinate Affiliate conference presence.
